14 - Sister Company

" Write about being friends with your brother or sister "

     I’m blessed to have two older sisters in my life. I have not experience to have a brother but I have no regret having my two sisters. Aside from my friends in school, my two sisters are also my bonding buddy. Sometimes we have some arguments and small fights but we can easily patched things out and at the end of the day, things will get normal. The best thing is that I have always someone that give me some advices. We love to watch movies together and we have the same favorite movies we love to watch. Going to malls, doing some shopping and eating are also our favorite bonding. Bowling is also one of our favorite sports together with our dad. Just staying at home, watching TV shows and listening to our favorite music is also our bonding time. We spent a lot of time together. Having elder sisters like them will add to the fun of my life!

      I could say that I am so thankful to have them that I can look up to with regards to their determination and effort towards their studies. They help me in my school homework and projects. They really inspires me to have a good education. They give me the courage to work hard every day.  They both finished their four year course. They have their own stable job. My eldest sister is now a FRM Manager at McDonald. My second sister is working at Max’s Restaurant as Telemarketer. Aside from my parents, I’m also very proud of my sister’s achievement in life. On my part, I’m also doing my best so that they can also be proud of me.  

     There are many reasons why having sisters are so important. Mostly because it is a bond unlike any other that we have in our lives. Part of the protective nature of older sisters are being a good listener. Knowing that I can always count on them whenever I have problems. As their only brother, I am willing to protect them no matter what. I want them to feel that they are important in my life aside from my parents!

13 - Alt + F4 the Stress

" Is there any machine you feel you could not live without? Explain. "

     As a student, computer is a big help for me with regards to my studies. I have a laptop which I used for researching my school homework. I can have access to all sort of information on the internet. There are many great websites that provide free resources for student, like me. I can change fonts easily without having to re-write everything. I can easily check my spelling and grammar with the program that will automatically give me options for the incorrect spelling. I can edit photographs and images, changing the color which I could not do by hand. I can get to know about the entire world news. I can chat to my friends. I can solve my problems about my school activities and projects with the help of internet and computer. The main advantage is how easy computers have made my life.

     One of the reasons that I really love computer because I can play video games with it. Video games like Dota, Counter Strike, and League of Legends. Video games is my stress reliever, after a stressful day at school, I will just play video games in my computer and that’s it my day is complete. One of my favorite video game is League of Legends, it is a fast-paced, competitive online game that blends the speed and intensity of an RTS with RPG elements. Two teams of powerful champions, each with a unique design and playstyle, battle head-to-head across multiple battlefields and game modes. With an ever-expanding roster of champions, frequent updates and a thriving tournament scene, League of Legends offers endless replayability for players of every skill level. In short, it is a game where you pick your champion or character and just kill your enemy to win.

     Computer is very useful all over the world. It really changed our way of life. The use of computer technology affects every area of our lives. We are using computers to perform different tasks quickly and easily. The use of computers makes our task easier. It also saves our time and effort. Since computers have been invented, everybody is dependent on computers. That is why, almost everybody have computers at home.

12 - For Three!!!

" What is your hobby? Why do you enjoy it? "

     I have many hobbies and basketball is one of the hobbies I have. I like playing basketball with my friends and we always have a good time together. It makes our friendship become stronger. I feel ease and relax when I’m playing basketball with them. Without basketball, I think I will lose a lot of fun in my life. I am able to play basketball with my friends for hours without getting one thought of boredom. When I play basketball, I feel more confident especially when I shoot the ball on the basketball ring, and I feel so proud of myself!

     Basketball means a lot to me. I also love to watch basketball game on television. There are a variety of moves that the players perform during the games and that makes the game more enjoyable to watch. I have a favorite basketball player. My favorite basketball player is Kobe Bryant. He is my ultimate idol on the court! He always play at his best, put all his effort and always aim to win a championship every game. He can do anything on the court and he is a very versatile player. He knows how to play both sides of the game, offense and defense. He makes the games more exciting because of his best shots and stunning defense. He has a good aim to shoot, good jumping skills to rebound, quick and a good ball handling skills. I like the way he plays. His moves get better and better every time I watches him playing basketball on television.  

     I find that playing basketball game is very challenging because it is not easy to dribble the ball and getting the ball through the ring. Sweats and getting hurt are just the little things that I experiencing while playing the game. I also learned that basketball requires teamwork, fast reactions and endurance. I can say that teamwork is very important in a basketball game because it is very difficult to win alone. One more thing is good communication skills are also necessary to win the game. In addition, the weather is sometimes a problem because I hate playing basketball when it is raining. Despite everything, basketball is my lifetime hobby!

     

11 - A Blog under the Sun

" What is your favorite kind of weather? Why? "

      I love the beautiful sunny weather! I know that you will also agree that it is so much better than rain because rains can cause floods and floods can cause heavy traffic that really irritates everyone. Everybody take advantage of the sunny weather to do outdoor projects, take their families to fun locations such as amusement parks, beaches and try to find ways to relax and keep cool. It's the season when most people take time off of work to enjoy the beauty of the weather for a good vacation.

     The sunlight makes me feel good. I enjoy playing basketball with my friends. I feel so active and strong every time I play basketball. This is another bonding moment with my friends. My family love to eat and dine outside. We can only do it during sunny days because it’s very hard to go around when your surroundings are wet. I prepared the sunny weather because aside that I can enjoy more opportunities of physical activities like walks and jogs, going around the malls and enjoy the sunlight, this is also the reason where we can enjoy normally the abundant fresh, local fruits and vegetables. I like to eat lots of cooling foods like ice cream and fruit salads. I enjoy drinking cold fruit juices, and of course the cold soft drinks to ease my thirst. Sunny weather make the most of the season enjoying all the outdoors can offer. Just like last summer, my classmates and I had enjoy it. We had swimming in the pool for long hours and it was a very memorable experience.

    Weather can decide on what we do for the day. During rainy days I feel a little sad because my activities will be limited only to stay indoors. I feel so bored when I have to stay a lot inside the house. While during sunny days I can go outside and enjoy taking a trip to some places. I’m more appreciative of great weather like sunny days. So remember to stay well hydrated with fresh water, enjoying the sun and simply have fun!

10 - Stop Right Now

" APC's Anti - Smoking Campaign "


The Anti - Smoking Campaign of APC is very beneficial for all of us especially the non - smokers. This campaign help us to be free in smoking and inhaling smoke. There are so many smokers here in APC and their favorite spot is the parking lot. The parking lot is where the students, who rides in the shuttle bus, waits and it is very disturbing for them whenever they inhale the smokes from the cigarettes. Now, that there is a anti - smoking campaign the students who waits in the parking lot will be free of very disturbing smokes 
(ye hey). Thanks to the campaign because now our school is 100% free of smoking.

I, as a non - smoker, totally agrees to this campaign because there are so many harmful effects of smoking not only for the smokers but also for the non - smokers. Cigarette smoke contains many chemicals that are harmful to both smokers and nonsmokers. Breathing even a little cigarette smoke can be harmful. Smoking has been found to harm nearly every bodily organ and organ system in the body and diminishes a person’s overall health. Smoking is a leading cause of cancer and death from cancer.  Smoking cigarettes is the number-one risk factor for lung cancer but smoking can affect your entire body and is known to cause cancer in the lungs, trachea, bronchus, esophagus, oral cavity, lip, nasal cavity, larynx, stomach, bladder, pancreas, kidney, liver, and so much more. I guess after I enumerated what smoking can cause, you will stop smoking because they are so many hahaha. I think there is no benefits in smoking.

This paragraph is dedicated to the smokers so thank me because I will write a paragraph just for you hahaha. This is for the smokers because I will state the reasons why you should quit smoking. First of all, you should stop smoking because it is harmful for you of course. Secondly, is to save money because it is hard to gain money especially that cigarettes right now is very expensive. Lastly, smoking is good for your health and it's good for the people around you. Cigarette smoke is harmful to everyone who inhales it, not just the smoker.

9 - Nation or Yourself?

" Bayani Ba to? Heroism for Millennials "


I was very educated in the seminar because it taught me to appreciate the history. History is very important to us because it connects us to our past and where we came from. The seminar was very educational and fun. The speakers made the forum very informative at the same time entertaining. The forum was very fun because the speakers discuss it with sense of humor. They present the movie " Heneral Luna " which follows the life of one of Philippine History’s most brilliant military men, Heneral Antonio Luna, as he tries to lead his countrymen against colonial masters new and old, and to rise above their own raging disputes to fulfill the promise of the Philippine Revolution. " Heneral Luna " is a film by Jerrold Tarog, starring John Arcilla, Arron Villaflor, Paulo Avelino, Mon Confiado, Leo Martinez, and many more. I was amazed and became interested in the movie when they present the movie trailer because it is full of actions. I felt excitement when John Arcilla is in the forum and joined the discussion. John Arcilla, known as Daddy Ninong in the teleserye Oh My G, plays the role of Heneral Luna so it is very exciting that he joined the discussion. The seminar end by answering the questions of the students. I really enjoyed the seminar.

The seminar is about heroism, and the first question that came to my mind is " what is a hero? " then I listen carefully to the speakers on what is the real meaning of hero. Based on what I've heard in the seminar, a hero is the one who protects you, fight for your rights, love you, care for you, and help you. Now, I've realized that there are so many heroes that I encounter everyday because before, when you say the word " hero " the first persons that come to my mind is our past heroes like Lapu -Lapu, Jose Rizal, Andres Bonifacio, Antonio Luna, and many more. These heroes that I encounter everyday is my family, friends, classmates, and teachers.

What I've learned from the seminar is to value our history and heroes. Heroes are the one who fights for our rights and fights for our freedom. We experience freedom today because of them. We can do whatever we want because of them. The best thing that we can do to thank them is to appreciate them. Without them, I cannot write this blog.

8 - Fun + Boring = SOCSIT Week

"SOCSIT Week"

     Its my first time to experience the Socsit week, started on July 28 and ended on July 31, I felt happy and boredom. I felt happy because it's a week for us to relax, enjoy, and showcase our talents. Cheering for your blockmates competing in sports is very enjoying. Showcasing your talent in the event of Socsit week " 30 seconds of fame or shame " is one of the moments that I will never forget. Watching the Socsit Pageant is very fun although we went home late at that night. I've enjoyed the Socsit week but there is some point where I got bored. The opening ceremony of the Socsit week was boring for me because we just marched around the parking lot. However, the part where the contestants of the Socsit Pageant  was introduced and the intermission number of the APC Dance Company was fun. When there is a time that we have no activities, we are required to go our classes so it's a kind of annoying for me. After the games and activities, we are in our room or in the cafeteria doing nothing so it's boring. Lastly, the Socsit night was very boring!!!
I go through a heavy traffic and I just experience a boring party. After the Socsit night, we have to survive again a heavy traffic and it's late in the evening. So in short, I just wasted my effort in going to school.


     Cheering for our blockmates is very fun. The first game of our volleyball team was on monday, July 27. It was very fun because it's my first time to see my blockmates to play volleyball. The game was exciting and enjoyable. Guess what? our volleyball team won the first game, yeah!!! Next is our basketball team,  their game was on Wednesday, July 29. Guess what again? they also win the basketball game, yeah!!!


     "30 Seconds of fame or shame" is the most memorable event in the Socsit week for me. This is the event where all of the Socsit students showcase their talents. Me as a Socsit student, of course have to showcase my talent too,  I showcase my talent by singing and dancing the song " Ako ay may lobo ".
